ComfortDelGro venture wins $2.7 billion Copenhagen Metro deal

What's next: The 12-year contract is due to be signed in September and would let the group run the system through 2039, with a 3-year extension option.

ComfortDelGro and France's RATP Dev have secured a 17 billion Danish kroner contract to operate and maintain all four lines of the Copenhagen Metro from September 2027. The consortium, KBH Metro Partner, beat two other bidders in an international tender run by Metroselskabet, which said it chose the bid on price and quality. The fully automated network spans about 43 kilometers and 44 stations, runs around the clock and carried a record 135 million passengers in 2025. The award expands ComfortDelGro's rail footprint in Scandinavia after Stockholm and marks its third metro partnership with RATP Dev, following projects tied to Paris Line 15 South and Singapore's Jurong Region Line.
