ComfortDelGro-RATP Dev win $2.7 billion Copenhagen Metro deal

What's next: The consortium will take over all four metro lines in September 2027 under a 12-year contract with a three-year extension option.

A consortium of Singapore's ComfortDelGro and France's RATP Dev secured a 17 billion Danish kroner, or about $2.7 billion, contract to operate and maintain all four lines of the Copenhagen Metro starting in September 2027. Metroselskabet selected KBH Metro Partner over two other bidders after weighing price and quality. The deal runs for 12 years and can be extended by three more. Copenhagen's fully automated metro covers about 43 kilometers and 44 stations, and carried a record 135 million passengers in 2025. The award marks the third metro partnership between ComfortDelGro and RATP Dev, following projects tied to Paris Line 15 in 2023 and Singapore's Jurong Region Line in 2024.
