Citi Indonesia posts Rp994 billion profit, loans up 8.05%

Deposits jumped 23.29% to Rp72.6 trillion, while profit was held back by market volatility that hurt gains on asset sales.

Citibank N.A. Indonesia booked net profit of Rp994 billion in the first half of 2026, with loan growth of 8.05 percent year on year to Rp29.9 trillion. The company said profit growth was relatively moderate because market volatility reduced gains from the sale of financial assets. On funding, third-party deposits rose 23.29 percent to Rp72.6 trillion, supported by demand deposit growth of 36.54 percent to Rp60.4 trillion. Asset quality remained solid, with the nonperforming loan ratio at 0.19 percent. Capital also stayed strong, reflected in a CAR of 31.43 percent and a liquidity coverage ratio of 276.26 percent. In the first half of 2026, Citi also helped arrange PT Danantara Investment Management's first global bond issuance of US$1.5 billion and PLN's US$1.5 billion global bond.
