Arsenal drew one of the toughest matchups in Thursday's Champions League league-phase draw, with home games against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund and away trips to Bayern Munich and Napoli. Manchester City also landed marquee fixtures, hosting defending champion Paris Saint-Germain and traveling to Barcelona. Aston Villa will face PSG and Barcelona in their return to the competition, while Manchester United's schedule includes Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Roma and RB Leipzig. Liverpool will meet Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Porto and Villarreal among their eight opponents. Under UEFA's 36-team format, each club plays eight different opponents, with the top eight advancing directly to the round of 16.
