CFD on Rasuna Said begins as Pramono cites 95% support
Initial review focused on pedestrian layout, cleanliness and banning vendors from the new CFD route.
The Jakarta provincial government began holding a car-free day on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Sunday morning. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said around 95-96 percent of the residents he met wanted the car-free day in the Kuningan area to continue, although a small number asked for improvements. The initial review covered road and pedestrian arrangements that are not yet fully complete, environmental cleanliness, and controls to keep vendors from selling on the car-free day route. The activity ran from 05.30-09.00 WIB. The provincial government prepared 10 traffic diversion routes, four off-street parking locations with capacity for 1,914 cars and 1,910 motorcycles, as well as public transport access through seven Transjakarta Jabodebek routes and two LRT routes.
