Celtic rout Kilmarnock 5-1 as Hogh scores first hat-trick

Kasper Hogh struck his first Celtic goals in a 5-1 Scottish Premiership win at Kilmarnock, completing a first-half hat-trick as the champions coped without manager Martin O’Neill. Hogh opened the scoring after 64 seconds, added a second in the 33rd minute and headed in his third two minutes later at Rugby Park. Benjamin Nygren made it 4-0 early in the second half after a Kilmarnock giveaway, and Michael Schjonning-Larsen later pulled one back before Celtic restored their four-goal cushion. Assistant Shaun Maloney said before kickoff that O’Neill, who missed the trip after a recent hospital procedure, was recovering and had visited the team hotel. The result left Celtic level with St Mirren on six points from two matches.
