Karawang regent threatens to revoke club permit after viral video
New: Satpol PP and Polres Karawang are still checking the site and the legality of the entertainment venue allegedly used for the event.
Karawang Regent Aep Syaepuloh has threatened to revoke the operating permit of a nightlife venue alleged to have facilitated a gay party after a 12-second video from the location spread widely. He said Satpol PP had been instructed to act firmly, and that the permit could be revoked if serious violations are found. The Karawang regional government is also said to have collected a number of pieces of evidence for administrative enforcement. At the same time, Polres Karawang and Satpol PP are still investigating the recording and have not confirmed the exact location, although Satpol PP said the venue is in the urban area of Karawang. MUI Karawang also urged authorities to investigate the alleged party and close entertainment venues that have not completed their official permits.
