Gowa Regent leaves DPRD impeachment hearing mid-questioning
The walkout came after a request to submit questions collectively and answer them in writing was rejected.
Gowa Regent Sitti Husniah Talenrang left the DPRD Gowa Special Committee impeachment hearing while questioning was still under way at the DPRD Gowa office in South Sulawesi on Tuesday (14/7). Husniah arrived around 10.05-10.15 WITA accompanied by legal counsel Arie Dumais and his team. During the session, led by Special Committee chair Kasim Sila, she asked that all questions from committee members be collected first so they could be answered at once, including in writing. The request was rejected because the committee wanted the questions answered one by one. Her legal team said some questions had drifted into personal matters and were not focused on government policy. The hearing examined allegations of abuse of authority, including the revocation of doctoral scholarships and the procurement of free school uniforms.
