Bomb threat disperses orientation event at SDN Srengseng Sawah 15
Students were evacuated and sent home as Gegana and Densus 88 searched the school and found no explosives so far.
A bomb threat broke up the school orientation program at SDN Srengseng Sawah 15 Pagi, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, on Monday (13/7). The threat message was sent via WhatsApp to a first-grade teacher and an administrative staff member during the ceremony, then reported to police at about 07.30 WIB. Police evacuated students and teachers from the building, then sent students home after parents grew anxious. Jagakarsa Police Chief Nurma Dewi said Gegana and Densus 88 teams had inspected the school grounds. The initial result was negative, but the sweep continued to make sure there were no explosives on the first day of MPLS.
