Bogor prepares 7-story hajj embarkation worth Rp142 billion in 2027

The Bogor Regency government is preparing to build a seven-story hajj and umrah embarkation facility worth Rp142 billion in the Masjid Raya Nurul Wathon area in Cibinong, starting in 2027. Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto said the facility is being prepared to ease departures for pilgrims from Kabupaten Bogor, which this year has a quota of 3,450 people. With its own embarkation point, pilgrims are expected no longer to need to stop first at Embarkasi Haji Pondok Gede in Jakarta. Head of the Bogor Regency Housing and Settlement Areas Office Eko Mujiarto said the project will be financed through the 2027 regional budget and is designed to resemble Zamzam Tower in Mekkah. The tender is targeted to begin in December 2026 so physical work can start in early 2027. The project was initially included in the current fiscal year, but was delayed because the construction timeline was considered insufficient.
