Body found in mall parking lot near Iran training site in Tijuana
Baja California police found the body in the trunk of a Toyota RAV4 parked since June 9 and are probing signs of violence.
A body was found in the parking area of a shopping center in Tijuana, Mexico, on Friday (12/6), less than 300 meters from the stadium used by Iran's national team for training ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Police found the body in the trunk of a gray Toyota RAV4 that had reportedly been parked at the site since Tuesday (9/6), after a strong odor was detected coming from the vehicle. Parking attendant Rafael Lopez reported the discovery to the Calimax supermarket, and employees then alerted authorities. The Baja California prosecutor's office said the body showed signs of violence. The victim's identity and cause of death remain under investigation.
