BMKG: Most Indonesian cities face rain threat

BMKG also warned of 2.5-4 meter waves in several waters and tidal flooding along the Kepri coast to Jakarta.

BMKG forecast that most cities in Indonesia will see rain ranging from light to heavy in the last few days of this week, including thunderstorms in Tanjung Selor and moderate to heavy rain in Banda Aceh on Wednesday. On Thursday, light rain is expected to spread across a number of cities in Sumatera, Jakarta, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papua, while other areas will be mostly cloudy or covered by haze. In DKI Jakarta on Friday, light to moderate rain is forecast from afternoon into night in Jakarta Barat, Pusat, Timur, and Selatan. BMKG also warned of 2.5 to 4 meter waves in the southern Indian Ocean and Laut Maluku, and urged residents to watch for tidal flooding along the coasts of Kepulauan Riau, Jakarta, Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, Kalimantan Selatan, and Kalimantan Tengah.
