BMKG Forecasts Light Rain Across Most of Indonesia on Monday
Semarang is expected to see moderate rain, while Pontianak, Samarinda, Banjarmasin and Manado may face thunderstorms.
BMKG forecast light rain across most of Indonesia on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026. In Java, light rain is expected in Jakarta, Serang and Bandung, while Semarang could see moderate rain. Yogyakarta is forecast to have hazy conditions and Surabaya overcast skies. In Kalimantan, Tanjung Selor and Palangkaraya may get light rain, while Pontianak, Samarinda and Banjarmasin are advised to watch for thunderstorms. Manado also could see thunderstorms. In Papua, light rain is expected in Jayawijaya and Sorong, while Sorong and Nabire have a chance of moderate rain. BMKG also warned air transport users to watch for cumulonimbus clouds in several areas, including Aceh, Sumatra Utara, Kalimantan Tengah, Sulawesi Utara, Maluku and Papua.
