Biden sets Nov. 17, 2026 release for White House memoir
What's new: Biden also said treatment for his bone-spread prostate cancer is going “really well” after starting radiation therapy.
Former President Joe Biden said his White House memoir, “Promise Me, America,” will be published on Nov. 17, 2026, and gave an upbeat update on his cancer treatment. In a video posted July 15, Biden said treatment was “going really well” after he began radiation therapy for an aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis disclosed in May 2025 that had spread to his bones. The book will revisit his 2021-2025 presidency, including the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol, the war in Ukraine and the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. Biden also said it will address why he sought re-election in 2024 and why he later stepped aside.
