BGN removes MBG vehicle costs from Rp3,000 operating cap

SPPGs must provide distribution vehicles as upfront equipment, instead of charging them to daily beneficiary costs.

The National Nutrition Agency has removed food distribution vehicle costs for the Free Nutritious Meals Program from the operational cost component, capped at Rp3,000 per beneficiary per day. BGN spokesman Tysa Novenny said the move is not a new policy, but a return to the original rules when MBG was launched. Under the initial provisions, distribution vehicles were treated as required equipment that must be provided by the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi, alongside buildings, cooking equipment and dining utensils. Tysa said the provision is stated in Deputy Decrees on Provision and Distribution No. 2 of 2024 and No. 1 of 2025. BGN acknowledged that BGN Chief Decree No. 63 of 2025 had temporarily included vehicle rental in operational costs, but a latest review classifies vehicles as mandatory equipment from the start of SPPG operations.
