BGN funding delays and reviews halt SPPG in East, Central Java
In East Java, 372 SPPG were suspended for lacking SLHS and IPAL requirements, while dozens of kitchens stalled as operating funds lagged.
Several Satuan Pelayanan Program Gizi (SPPG) in East Java and Central Java have stopped operating after funding from Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) slowed and some units were placed under review. In East Java, MBG Task Force chief Emil Elestianto Dardak said 372 SPPG were suspended because they had not met the requirements for Sertifikat Laik Higiene Sanitasi (SLHS) and Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL). He gave operators 30 days to complete the documents. At the same time, dozens of other MBG kitchens also halted because operating funds had not yet entered their respective virtual accounts; in Ponorogo, 21 SPPG were affected. In Central Java, Deputy Governor Taj Yasin Maimoen said a number of SPPG were also not operating, either because of reviews or because disbursement had not yet come through. Republika reported that 12 SPPG in Purworejo, five in Magelang and 20 in Surakarta had temporarily stopped.
