BEI drops HSC shares from IHSG starting Nov. 2, 2026
Funds that track BEI's main index will automatically stop holding HSC shares after the rule change takes effect.
Bursa Efek Indonesia has changed the evaluation criteria for the Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan by excluding shares in the High Shareholding Concentration (HSC) category starting Nov. 2, 2026. Previously, constituent selection for the IHSG covered all listed shares except those in the Papan Akselerasi. Under the new rules, BEI also shifts the periodic review schedule from March, June, September and December to January, April, July and October. The results will take effect on the first trading day of February, May, August and November. BEI has also added an incidental review mechanism, so shares that enter or exit the HSC category outside the regular schedule will be adjusted immediately in the IHSG. The index calculation method remains capped free float adjusted market capitalization weighted.
