Baznas adds Rp1,7 billion for Palestinian medical services

Baznas is also preparing college scholarships in Indonesia for Palestinian students, especially in health fields.

Baznas RI is strengthening humanitarian cooperation with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) of Jordan to support health services for Palestinians. In a meeting at the Baznas office in Jakarta on 7 August, Baznas increased its funding commitment by more than Rp1,7 billion for Palestinian health services. In addition to medical aid, the agency is preparing a college scholarship scheme in Indonesia for Palestinian students, especially in health fields. KHCF director Madelin Al Salah said the support is urgent because international donations are declining, while the number of patients from Gaza in Jordan remains high. He also said the latest funding allocation exceeds Rp3,5 billion for treatment of cancer patients from Gaza in Jordan in 2026.
