Bareskrim detains Fredy Pratama network treasurer from Malaysia
The arrest came as police also uncovered 128 kilograms of meth linked to the same network in Kalimantan Selatan.
Bareskrim Polri detained Frans Antoni, the financial controller of the international drug network led by Fredy Pratama, and brought him from Malaysia to Jakarta on Friday afternoon. Frans arrived at the Bareskrim building at about 15:28 WIB along with a woman who was also escorted by officers. Bareskrim Narcotics Directorate head Brig. Gen. Eko Hadi Santoso confirmed the arrest. The case broadens the hunt for the Fredy network, a fugitive since 2014 who is said to have controlled narcotics trafficking from Thailand. On the same day, Polda Kalimantan Selatan uncovered 127 packets of meth weighing a total of 128.705,17 grams from a network supplied by the Fredy Pratama group and arrested five suspects in Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru.
