Bandung city government seals videotron after 10 trees cut on Jalan Riau
The park subcontractor was fined Rp100 juta and must plant 100 replacement trees, officials said.
Bandung city government sealed the videotron at the SixNine Padel building on Jalan LL.RE Martadinata, or Jalan Riau, on Wednesday (5/8), after 10 trees were cut down without a permit on the sidewalk at the site. Satpol PP Kota Bandung said the videotron also did not yet have a permit for advertising operations. Satpol PP head Bambang Sukardi said the inspection found the trees were cut so they would not block the view of the videotron. The actor, identified as a subcontractor for the park construction, has admitted responsibility. Under local regulation provisions cited by Satpol PP, the violation carries an administrative fine of Rp100 juta and a requirement to plant 100 replacement trees. The city government said the sealing applies only to the videotron, while the padel business and the building remain open because their permits are considered complete.
