Bandung Opens 2026 SPMB Phase I for Affirmation, Merit
Online registration runs June 8-12, with affirmation quotas of 15% in elementary and 30% in middle school, and 25% for merit.
The Bandung city government opened registration for the 2026/2027 school year Sistem Penerimaan Murid Baru (SPMB) for TK, SD and SMP on June 8-12, 2026. The first phase covers affirmation and merit tracks through spmb.bandung.go.id. Bandung Education Agency head Asep Saeful Gufron said the earlier process began with data collection and NIK-based account creation from May 11 to June 5. For the affirmation track, the quota is 15% in SD and 30% in SMP, including placement affirmation, non-placement affirmation and students with special needs. The track is intended for Bandung residents listed in DTSEN deciles 1 to 5. The merit track has a total quota of 25%, consisting of academic achievement based on report card scores and the Tes Kemampuan Akademik, as well as nonacademic achievement through competitions.
