Arsenal and Manchester City face fitness concerns ahead of Sunday's Community Shield clash on 16/8/2026. At least seven players are in doubt. For City, Rodri is not expected to be ready after undergoing minor back surgery following his Spain duty at the World Cup. Jack Grealish has only just returned to training after recovering from a foot injury, Ryan McAidoo still has fitness issues, and Savinho missed training because of illness. For Arsenal, Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are considered possible starters. But their defense could be weakened, with William Saliba still recovering from a back injury and Jurrien Timber not yet fully recovered from a groin problem and needing several more weeks before returning to team training.
