Apple said to be preparing iPhone Air 2 with two cameras in 2027
The rumored upgrade also includes longer battery life and an A20 Pro chip, as first-generation sales remain modest.
Apple is reported to be preparing the iPhone Air 2 for a spring 2027 launch with several upgrades from the first generation. A report cited by Antara from Engadget said the thin phone could have two rear cameras, longer battery life and a newer A20 Pro chip. The information comes from a Bloomberg report by journalist Mark Gurman. The first-generation iPhone Air was introduced as a thin and light phone, but it has not posted strong sales. One of the main criticisms of the initial model was that it used only one rear camera, leaving its photography capabilities seen as behind other iPhone models. Apple is also said to be changing its iPhone release pattern, with premium models still arriving around September and other models being announced in the following spring.
