PPATK 2027 budget rises to Rp655.6 billion, focus on online gambling
PPATK has halted transactions in 5,762 online gambling accounts and said Rp588.62 billion has been seized for the state.
President Prabowo Subianto has raised the 2027 budget for the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center, or PPATK, to Rp655.6 billion, more than twice the indicative ceiling of Rp253.3 billion. PPATK head Ivan Yustiavandana said the added funds will strengthen financial intelligence functions in handling money laundering, terrorism financing, and other crimes that harm the state. One of its main priorities is online gambling. PPATK said online gambling turnover fell from Rp359.81 trillion in 2024 to Rp286.84 trillion in 2025, while deposits in the first half of 2026 reached Rp22 trillion. The agency has also stopped transactions in 5,762 online gambling accounts. From 2025 through the first half of 2026, PPATK sent 1,479 analytical reports and 17 examination results to law enforcement officials.
