Tegal Kota officer tests positive for meth in wife abuse case

Police also found a bong at the suspect’s home, while the criminal allegations are being handled by Bareskrim Polri.

Polda Jawa Tengah said Aiptu N, a Polres Tegal Kota officer suspected of assaulting his unofficial wife MAN (30), tested positive for methamphetamine. The result came from a urine test during questioning at Polda Jateng. Police also searched Aiptu N’s home and found a bong, although no meth was seized. The case began after the victim filed a report with Bareskrim Polri alleging assault, confinement, sexual harassment, threats and acid attack. The victim’s lawyer, Raden Reza, said the victim was also forced to use and prepare meth. Bidpropam Polda Jateng has detained Aiptu N and is preparing an ethics hearing, including over an extramarital relationship and drug abuse. The criminal allegations remain under investigation by Bareskrim Polri.
