AI-made Singapore National Day banner pulled after flag errors

What's new: Kampong Chai Chee residents replaced the banner the same day, and by Tuesday morning other similar banners had also been taken down.

An AI-generated National Day banner in Singapore's Bedok area was removed after residents and social media users spotted several mistakes, including red-and-white flags that resembled Indonesia's flag instead of Singapore's. Kampong Chai Chee Community Club said the banner was created and paid for by residents as part of estate decorations for National Day. It said many of the volunteers were seniors and did not realize the design contained inaccuracies. The club said residents replaced the banner the same day after the issue was flagged. Photos shared online also pointed to other distorted elements, including a girl holding a flagpole with no flag and warped graphics. Mothership later reported that other similar banners in the estate had been taken down as well.
