Food and bottled water supplies are arriving, with ride-hailing drivers helping as hundreds from Pati are set to reach Jakarta.
Dozens of people who plan to join the rally outside the parliamentary complex began preparing demand banners around the Gedung DPR/MPR RI area in Jakarta on Wednesday (26/8). They made banners from white cloth using spray paint and hung flags of Aliansi Masyarakat Pati Bersatu (AMPB), Aliansi Rakyat Indonesia Bersatu (ARIB), and signs reading “No Viral No Justice”. Nearby, several ride-hailing drivers helped unload aid shipments. Food and bottled water have also begun to pile up, while some residents contributed cash to support the crowd. According to information gathered, hundreds of residents from Pati, Jawa Tengah, are scheduled to follow to Jakarta for the rally on Thursday (27/8). One of the main demands is for the DPR RI to promptly pass the RUU Perampasan Aset.
