After Batam power outage, PLN Batam moved under Danantara
Danantara is also preparing a management refresh at PLN to push more reliable service for residents and businesses.
Danantara Indonesia has placed PLN Batam directly under its oversight after a power supply disruption in Batam. The move is aimed at strengthening PLN Batam's business development, improving electricity service, and supporting investment appeal in the area. Danantara said the strengthening includes better supply reliability, easier services, and readiness to meet growing customer needs. In addition, Danantara is preparing a management refresh at PLN as part of the PLN Group's transformation. PLN Batam is said to operate an independent business model without government subsidies or compensation, giving it room to grow as Batam remains an economic engine and investment destination.
