Abuse allegations cloud Ohio Rep. Max Miller's House reelection bid

What's next: Wednesday is the deadline to replace Miller on the ballot, though Republicans have not moved to do so.

Ohio Rep. Max Miller's bid for another term in the U.S. House has come under pressure as domestic abuse allegations from his ex-wife draw renewed scrutiny in a closely watched midterm cycle. Democrats have called for Miller to resign and sought an ethics investigation, arguing the Republican could become vulnerable in Ohio's 7th District, which he won with just over 51% of the vote two years ago. Emily Moreno alleged in police reports that Miller assaulted her during their marriage. ABC News reported she also accused him of earlier violence, including holding a gun to her head. Miller has denied abusing his ex-wife or daughter and filed defamation suits against Moreno and another accuser, Stephanie Grisham.
