9 AHWA scholars elected at Muktamar NU, Nurul Huda gets 485 votes

The IV Pleno session of the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama Muktamar elected nine scholars as members of Ahlul Halli wal Aqdi, or AHWA, at the Bahrul Ulum Islamic boarding school multipurpose hall in Tambakberas, Jombang, East Java, on Sunday night, August 30, 2026. The forum put KH Nurul Huda Djazuli of Ploso at the top with 485 votes, or 10.31 percent. He was followed by TGH KH Nuruzzahir Yahya with 477 votes, then AG Dr KH Baharuddin HS with 392 votes. The other six AHWA members are KH Miftachul Akhyar, KH Afifuddin Muhajir, KH Anwar Iskandar, KH Amar Manshur, Prof Dr KH Said Aqil Siroj, and Dr KH Abu Bunyamin. The nine names were chosen from tabulated support from PWNU, PCNU, and PCINU, and will determine the next PBNU leadership.
