West Java police have questioned seven witnesses in connection with an alleged fraud scheme involving payment for dam and badal haji that involved one Kelompok Bimbingan Ibadah Haji dan Umrah in West Java. The questioning took place as the hajj group arrived at Kertajati International Airport in Majalengka after returning from Saudi Arabia. Boy Hari Novian, head of the West Java office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, said the process was still at the stage of gathering information and clarification. The seven witnesses consisted of pilgrims, KBIHU administrators and group officers who were believed to know how the dam and badal haji were carried out. The witnesses were separated for individual questioning, while Kemenhaj Jabar and Polda Jabar said they were still examining the facts before determining whether any violation occurred.
