62 MBG kitchens in Kabupaten Tangerang halt over funds
Regional BGN officials say the disruption has lasted a week, while central leaders insist disbursements are proceeding in stages.
Sixty-two Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) kitchens for the Makan Bergizi Gratis program in Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten, have temporarily stopped operating because operating funds have not yet been disbursed. Priyo Basuki, the BGN regional coordinator for Kabupaten Tangerang, said the disruption began this week and has mainly hit SPPG units still waiting for budget disbursements from the central government. The regency has 295 SPPG units serving about 700 thousand to 750.220 beneficiaries. Separately, BGN head Naniek Sudaryati Deyang denied that MBG fund distribution had stopped. She said disbursements began on Friday, 5 June, and continued earlier this week, while BGN deputy head Agustina Arumsari said funds for several SPPG units that had drawn attention had already been credited to their accounts.
