55% of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims have returned home

114,236 pilgrims and officials have arrived home, while 74,441 others are moving from Makkah to Madinah for the second return phase.

Some 55% of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims have returned home by the 59th day of Hajj operations, or the 17th day of the repatriation period. Ministry of Hajj spokesperson Maria Assegaff said a total of 114,236 pilgrims and officials have arrived in Indonesia. Of that number, 267 flight groups departed through Jeddah Airport and 33 flight groups through Madinah Airport. At the same time, 192 flight groups, or 74,441 pilgrims and officials, have moved from Makkah to Madinah as part of the second return phase. The Ministry of Hajj again reminded pilgrims not to place zamzam water in checked luggage or carry-on bags because it will be distributed officially upon arrival at debarkation points in Indonesia.
