Five men ages 19 to 24 were charged in Singapore after a motorcycle reported missing from Woodlands Close was allegedly stolen and taken for a joyride. Police said the bike was reported missing at about 11:20 a.m. on June 13 from a building in Woodlands Close. Officers from the Woodlands Police Division identified the suspects through ground inquiries and CCTV footage, then arrested them within 13 hours. Preliminary findings showed the group had spotted the unattended motorcycle at about 2:30 a.m. on June 10, managed to start its engine and had one of the men ride it away. The motorcycle has since been recovered. A 24-year-old man is also under investigation for riding it without a valid driving license. If convicted of theft of a motor vehicle with common intention, each could face up to seven years in jail and a fine.
