45,500 runners from 52 countries join Jakarta Marathon 2026
Half marathon drew the most entrants, while the marathon had about 8,600 runners in a race marking DKI Jakarta's 499th anniversary.
About 45,500 runners from 52 countries took part in the BTN Jakarta International Marathon 2026 in the Monas area of Jakarta on Sunday (14/6). The race marked the second day of the event, held on 13-14 June to celebrate DKI Jakarta's 499th anniversary. Organizer data cited by Antara showed four categories: 8,600 marathon runners, 16,400 half marathon entrants, 15,000 in the 10K race and 5,500 in the 5K race. At the start were Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir, DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno, BTN President Director Nixon LP Napitupulu and Danantara COO Dony Oskaria. Tribunnews also reported about 45,000 participants and said the number of countries represented reached 55.
