33,758 SPPI graduates prepared to run Koperasi Merah Putih for 2 years
Placements are set to begin in two to three weeks at operating cooperatives, including village and fisher units.
The Defense Ministry is preparing 33,758 Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan Indonesia graduates as prospective managers of Koperasi Merah Putih for a term of about two years. Defense Ministry Secretary General Tri Budi Utomo said the assignment will begin after participants receive placements from BP BUMN in the near future. The closing ceremony for the SPPI training program was held at Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma in East Jakarta on Friday. PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara Director Joao Angelo de Sousa Mota said the participants will be assigned to cooperatives already in operation within the next two to three weeks. Of the total graduates, 28,626 people are being prepared for Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih and 5,159 people for Koperasi Nelayan Merah Putih after about a month and a half of civic defense training.
