2 suspects in Matraman motorcycle theft shooting arrested in Lampung Timur
Police seized a homemade revolver and 9 mm rounds and are tracing the weapon’s origin and possible links to other cases.
Polda Metro Jaya has arrested two suspects in an armed motorcycle theft attempt that left a resident shot in Matraman, East Jakarta. The suspects, ENR (23) and RDS (21), were arrested in Desa Tebing, Kecamatan Melinting, Lampung Timur, on Friday (24/7) at about 10.00 WIB. According to Polda Metro Jaya Criminal Investigation Director Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin, one suspect acted as the shooter and the other as the driver. The incident took place on Jalan Salemba Utan Barat, Palmeriam, on Saturday (18/7) at about 12.22 WIB, when the suspects allegedly tried to ride away with a motorcycle. The victim, who tried to block them, was shot in the right thigh. Police seized one silver homemade revolver and one 9-millimeter round. Both are being questioned to determine the weapon’s origin and possible involvement at other locations.
