130 palm oil firms have not raised farmers' fruit prices

The number of firms still out of line fell from 274 in early June to about 130, but oversight continues.

About 130 palm oil companies in Indonesia have not raised farmers' fresh fruit bunch prices even as global crude palm oil prices rise. Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman said 80% to 90% of companies have already adjusted prices, out of about 1,900 palm oil firms. The government, along with Satgas Pangan, is still monitoring companies that have not complied, while also watching firms that have raised prices to ensure they do not cut them again. Amran said fresh fruit bunch prices vary by region and company, ranging from Rp3.000 to Rp3.600 per kilogram. In early June 2026, the Agriculture Ministry still recorded about 274 companies as having not adjusted prices. Amran said palm oil price swings affect about 15 million farmers, making it necessary to bring the situation under control quickly.
