10 House incumbents lost 2026 primaries, including Crenshaw and Massie

What's new: The defeated group spans both parties, with 3 Republicans and 7 Democrats knocked out in House races.

Ten sitting members of the U.S. House have already failed to win renomination in the 2026 election cycle, according to a tally published by Fox News. The list includes Republicans Dan Crenshaw of Texas, Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Andy Ogles of Tennessee, as well as Democrats Al Green and Julie Johnson of Texas, Dan Goldman and Adriano Espaillat of New York, Diana DeGette of Colorado, Shri Thanedar of Michigan and John Larson of Connecticut. Fox reported that redistricting shaped some of the Texas and Tennessee contests. Massie lost Kentucky's 4th District GOP primary to Ed Gallrein, while Crenshaw lost Texas' 2nd District GOP primary to Steve Toth.
