1,200 TEP 2026 participants deployed to 10 Papua transmigration areas
From 1,476 participants, about 200 teams will push appropriate technology, market access, investment and local jobs.
The Transmigration Ministry has deployed about 1,200 members of the Patriot Expedition Team (TEP) 2026 to 10 transmigration areas in Papua to improve productivity, incomes and job opportunities for residents. Of the 1,476 participants, they were split into about 200 teams made up of academics, researchers and experts from 10 partner universities. Their work goes beyond research and mapping to helping apply appropriate technology, develop local businesses, process higher-value products, and open access to markets and investment. The assignment areas include Lereh, Senggi, Salor, Muting, Prafi, Momiwaren, Werianggi-Werabur, Bomberay-Tomage, Weri-Saharey and Klamono-Segun.
