Yakult Singapore drops orange flavor, adds peach in July

What's new: Orange production ends in June, with peach arriving first on home delivery July 1 and in stores July 6.

Yakult Singapore will phase out its orange-flavored drink at the end of June and replace it with peach from July, marking the company’s first major flavor change in Singapore in more than four decades. Managing director Masaaki Sunami said customers had long asked for more options and that peach was among the most requested flavors. The company said production limits at its Singapore factory meant it had to choose between keeping orange and adding peach. Peach will be sold through home delivery from July 1 and in supermarkets and other retail outlets from July 6. Orange Yakult will remain available only while existing stocks last. The move drew mixed reactions online, with some fans mourning the loss of orange while others said it was their least favorite flavor.
