Wisconsin, Minnesota primaries test Democrats' progressive wing

Voters in Wisconsin and Minnesota headed to the polls Tuesday in Democratic primaries that could help define the party's direction before the November midterms. In Wisconsin, state Rep. Francesca Hong, a democratic socialist from Madison, entered the governor's race as the polling leader against Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, who rejoined the race after a brief exit and won backing from Gov. Tony Evers. In Minnesota, Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan was competing in a closely watched Senate primary.
