White House AI adviser Sriram Krishnan steps down
What's next: Krishnan will stay on as an outside adviser as the Trump administration pushes a lighter-touch AI policy.
Sriram Krishnan, a senior White House adviser on artificial intelligence, is leaving his post after helping shape the Trump administration’s AI agenda. Krishnan, a former Andreessen Horowitz partner, worked on the administration’s AI action plan, policy initiatives and international outreach tied to its push for what officials call American AI dominance. David Sacks, the White House AI and crypto czar, said Krishnan will continue advising from outside government. His exit comes as the administration moves ahead with a hands-off approach to AI-related cybersecurity risks and presses major AI companies to give the government early access to models for security and capability reviews.
