West Java provincial government builds 21 homes for Majalengka victims
Residents affected by land shifts and fires in Desa Pajajar are being moved to new housing that is also planned as a cultural area.
The West Java provincial government is building 21 homes for residents affected by land shifts and a fire in Desa Pajajar, Rajagaluh district, Majalengka regency. The program is part of the Abdi Nagri Menyulam Hari-Ngaprak Lembur #3 activity held on Friday, Nov. 6. West Java BKD head Dedi Supandi said the housing is intended to restore residents' homes so they are once again livable, safe and comfortable. The new housing area is also planned to be integrated with Desa Kampung Budaya Sunda, so it will not only serve as a settlement but also have cultural value and potential for social and economic development. Construction will be carried out collectively through the Poe Ibu program with the involvement of agencies across the West Java provincial government.
