West Java environment agency finds 3 dust parameters exceed limits
Follow-up tests are set for July 20 while the plant operates normally; the business faces possible administrative sanctions and fines.
West Java's Environment Agency found three air-pollution parameters above the legal limit in the area around the Citatah lime plant and mine in Cipatat District, Bandung Barat Regency. Spot tests by the Environment Protection and Management Oversight team on 11 July 2026 showed TSP, PM10, and PM2.5 exceeded the threshold. DLH Jabar chief Ai Saadiyah Dwidaningsih said the finding was not final because the initial sampling did not cover all points. DLH will take samples again on 20 July while industrial activity is running normally, covering the lime-processing area, public areas and the mining area. While awaiting complete results, DLH asked the business operators to cover open stockpiles, install emission controls such as dust collectors, bag filters or cyclones, and spray roads regularly. Residents of Ciburuy Village had previously complained of white dust, noise and health problems.
