Wamendagri urges 3 steps to curb inflation in Bali-Nusra
Bima Arya highlighted interisland logistics, tourism, religious holidays and weather as inflation triggers in the island region.
Deputy Home Affairs Minister Bima Arya Sugiarto called on local governments in Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara to strengthen coordination on inflation control and food security. At the Gerakan Pengendalian Inflasi dan Pangan Sejahtera Wilayah Bali-Nusra 2026 in Subak Jatiluwih, Tabanan, Bali, on Monday (27/7), he outlined three steps: deepen interregional cooperation to secure food supplies, use information technology to monitor prices in real time, and coordinate protection of Lahan Pertanian Pangan Berkelanjutan in regional spatial plans. Bima said island regions face distinct challenges, including interisland connectivity and logistics costs, along with spikes in demand from tourism, religious holidays and weather factors.
