Vietnam won the second leg of the SEA V Cup 2026 after beating Thailand 3-2 in the final at Jakarta International Velodrome, Jakarta, Sunday night. The match was tight over five sets, with scores of 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-25, and 15-10. Thailand was more efficient in the first set and rallied again in the fourth to force a deciding set. Vietnam then regained control in the fifth set. Attacks from Nguyen Ngoc Thuan and the play of Dinh Van Phuong were key to Vietnam's comeback, while coach Federico Rampazzo's decision to rest Nguyen and Duong Van Tien late in the fourth set helped preserve the team's firepower. With the result, the second round of the SEA V Cup 2026 ended, while Indonesia placed third after beating Kamboja.
