Velodrome-Manggarai LRT inauguration delayed; fare set at Rp5,000
DKI postponed the launch after a final review and upgrades to inclusive facilities on the 12.2-km, 11-station corridor.
Pemprov DKI Jakarta has delayed the inauguration of the LRT Jakarta Velodrome-Manggarai route, which had been scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26 and was previously expected to be attended by President Prabowo Subianto. Marulina Dewi, head of Diskominfotik DKI, said the rescheduling was decided after a final evaluation of the event and refinements to several facility and service details to make them more inclusive. The Kelapa Gading-Manggarai corridor remains part of the LRT Jakarta expansion and stretches 12.2 kilometers with 11 stations, from Kelapa Gading to Manggarai. DKI Governor Pramono Anung had earlier said the service would operate fully from 05.00-24.00 WIB after the inauguration. During the transition period, the fare is set at a flat Rp5,000 until October 2026, while waiting for an official fare decision with the DPRD DKI Jakarta.
