Veda Ega starts 9th in Moto3 Hungary; Almansa takes pole

Veda Ega Pratama will start the 2026 Moto3 Hungary race from ninth after completing qualifying at Balaton Park Circuit on Saturday WIB. The Honda Team Asia rider ended Q2 with a time of 1 minute 46.845 seconds and will line up on the third row for Sunday’s race (7/6). Pole position went to David Almansa with a time of 1 minute 45.686 seconds, followed by Máximo Quiles and Brian Uriarte. Throughout the session, Veda briefly fought in the front group before dropping back as rivals improved their laps in the closing minutes. The result keeps his chances of collecting key points in Hungary alive. Ahead of this round, Veda is third in the provisional Moto3 standings with 71 points.
