Veda Ega finishes 16th in Moto3 Hungarian GP debut
A long lap penalty kept the Indonesian rider out of the points and dropped him to sixth in the standings with 71 points.
Veda Ega Pratama finished 16th on his Moto3 GP Hungary debut at Balaton Park Circuit on Sunday (7/6/2026). The Honda Team Asia rider started from ninth, but a long lap penalty left him behind the front group. The penalty was handed down after he was judged to have slowed and impeded Ruche Moodley in Q2 qualifying a day earlier. On the narrow Balaton Park layout with few long straights, Veda slipped as low as 19th before closing the race in 16th. Maximo Quiles won in 33 minutes 39,745 seconds, ahead of David Almansa and Alvaro Carpe. The result left Veda without points and dropped him three places to sixth in the 2026 Moto3 riders' standings with 71 points.
